All’s Well That Cruised Well…

Well, as sad as I am to admit it, today’s column marks the last I’ll be writing about the truly epic cruise that yours truly sailed upon just over a month ago to this date.  Just how much can a guy write about a single, blissfully relaxing, surprisingly sun-kissed, and deliciously fulfilling week aboard a floating oasis of food, fun, family, and food?!  For those of you playing along at home via My Hilarious Travelogue, you’ll know that the answer is about 13 hilarious ‘logue entries, all on top of three separate but hopefully equally amusing humor columns – before, middle, and after

So I just wanted to take a few moments here while I procrastinate going grocery shopping for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday to highlight some of my own personal favorites from that massive list that this cruise should be held justly responsible for inspiring.  Posts like A Day in the Life of a Cruise-Goer (both at Sea and in Port versions) that depict just how “hectic” relaxing by the poolside with a strawberry-flavored, alcoholic novelty monkey really can be; As Seen Around the Ship… which pokes fun at all of the silly signs and situations that I passed twenty times a day while on-board that seemed just absolutely hilarious to me at the time and even more so yet after a couple of said novelty monkeys; and of course, probably my favorite of them all – The Gilligan’s Island Weight Loss Plan – because, well, hope is always a nice thing to have, even if it mostly centers around getting stranded on a deserted island with nothing but a ton of coconuts and six of your closest, hand-picked strangers to keep you company!

I do sincerely hope that you’ve enjoyed my extensive, even arguably exceedingly so, coverage of the wonderful floating vacation that I had the opportunity to enjoy this year.  It was quite wildly anticipated here around good, old Casa de Sevener and we had an absolute blast pretty much from the moment that we stepped on the ship.  I wish I could say the same for the preparatory necessities, but hey, you can’t win ‘em all, I suppose!

Thanks for reading – I look forward to taking even more high class vacations and bragging hilariously about them here in a virtual manner next year!
