While for the most part I’m known to frequent a particular Mouse-run collection of theme parks when I’m in the market for adventure in the form of singing animals and loop-de-loops, every now and then there comes a time for me to venture forth into the unknown to experience the tourism industry outside of Disney’s illustrious walled garden of joy and happiness…
This was one of those adventurous days.
It was a day trip that came about for two distinct reasons – #1 being that occasionally my wife desires roller coasters that commit inhumanly acts onto their passengers, and #2 being that, well, they gave us a really good deal on admission! Not being one to pass up a bargain even if it means putting my own life at risk, we piled into the family station wagon on a crisp Labor Day morning with the glamor and thrills of Hollywood on the horizon. As we paid the roughly $1,500 for parking and pulled into the garage, I had a feeling that this was to become a trip to remember.
