Now while the previously mentioned air travel did the deed of transporting us from sunny Tampa, Florida to still sunny, but nonetheless much colder Minneapolis, Minnesota, my wife and I still had a leg of the journey ahead of us as we drove to the much smaller, whole-in-the-wall-ish town where the wedding was being held that beckoned us to the fine forested state of Minnesota in the first place. During said drive, there were a few things that stood out along the way.
This seemed like as good a place as any to review some of those things…
First and foremost, let it be said that it's probably not very safe to try to take pictures while you're driving ... even if you DID sign the damage waiver with the rental car company. Always bring a navigator for the secondary purpose of taking goofy pictures when they present themselves...
Here we see that the guy who got paid to come up with names for all of the counties in Minnesota pretty much just phoned it in...
We did find this pretty nice Toys 'R Us, so that was cool.
A fitting tribute to Wayne and Garth - party on, guys!
The street naming guy is apparently cousins with the county naming guy.
Other than that, though, we pretty much just saw a lot of this…
Very pretty countryside, in a sort of Man, I hope we don't run out of gas because I really don't want to get eaten by a bear...-sort of way.
